Our Mission

The Ellwood City Area Historical Society seeks to keep the history of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania alive for its citizens. In addition to maintaining artifacts and their building, this historical society also has meetings to teach about historic individuals, buildings, and the Ellwood City area in general. Between the special events at this historic society and the quality of their programs, it has to be included on your list of places to go.  We look forward in meeting people that are searching information of the past.

Our Services

Here at the Ellwood History Center, we try to bring back history through accurate manuscripts, artifacts and other items. The preservation and appreciation of history is one of our main missions. So, we set out to honor the different persons, the founding fathers and historical sites around that give a truly accurate representation of the past. The Ellwood City Area Historical Society is committed to the same mission as the different preservation societies are, and is definitely worth visiting!

Our Support

Just a note to tell how we are funded, and survive.  Support from outside sources and contributors always play an important role in the life of the Ellwood City Area Historical Society. Various methods such as donations, memberships, an annual appeal, corporate giving, internships, volunteering, and grants are continuing to help keep the nonprofit society alive and growing.  We are so grateful for the support that is received, and we are diligent in the way and manner that the funds are used.  Our volunteer program is promoted by dedicated persons, interested in making the area history accessible.
